I decided to treat myself to brunch out with the girls today - an early Mothers Day gift (didn't want to join the crowds out tomorrow, and I don't mind celebrating on a different day). PH is away for a few weeks, so it was just me and our two girls.
As we were sitting at the communal table, P turns to me and asks "Mummy, how did I get out of your tummy?"
Ah, the timing of children.

P. and J. are at such similar stages! Johannah just asked in the last week how she came to be IN my tummy. She understands birds and eggs so now she understands mama and eggs inside her that grow into babies. But of course, she asked in front of friends. Amazing. Timing.
