Hard work

Solo parenting is really tough. I knew this, but after a lovely almost 3 years of having PH at home, I found having him away for two weeks this month really really tough. Incredibly tough.

Am I getting soft or something?

(although I am thankful for the time together and the fact that it does feel really unsettling to have him away, because that means that I'm so comfortable having him home and he is such an integral part of our family life that I sorely miss him when he is gone!)
